Grantley Hall
Grantley Hall is a luxury hotel in North Yorkshire, which boasts the Three Graces Spa.
“Grantley Hall has a long-standing relationship with Florence Roby; the spa team have worn their uniforms since we opened in 2019,” says Victoria Rickett, Director of Spa and Wellness at Three Graces Spa. “I’ve recently joined the team as spa director and have personally also worked with Florence Roby in my previous role at Swinton Estate in Ripon.”
“What I love is that the uniforms are stylish and flattering for all shapes and sizes, for every body,” says Rickett. “They look professional but are also very comfy to wear, even during treatments, which isn’t always the case with uniforms. The style covers the upper arm, which is something lots of our therapists are looking for, and the neck is high enough for modesty but not so high as to be unflattering. They wash well and don’t need ironing, which is always popular with staff!”
Grantley Hall has a bespoke uniform made for its spa teams, based on Coco Chanel with longer sleeves and a slightly wider trouser in teal, with gold embroidery that accents the spa’s colourways. Florence Roby uniforms are worn by the whole team, from reception staff and hosts to therapists and management, who wear trousers and a jacket for differentiation.
“The bespoke nature of our uniforms really matters,” says Rickett. “It means our guests won’t see the same uniform in another spa. This exclusivity is part of what we are as a brand. Our uniform is part of the whole spa aesthetic so it’s vitally important for us – strict uniform standards matter. If the staff all look groomed and exactly the same, it gives the guest an extra level of reassurance they’re being treated by a professional.”
